This month our year 7 English classes were treated to book talks by Alex from Creative Learning Services (Leicestershire County Council).
Alex read extracts from many books such as My teacher ate my brain, a zombie killing teacher. The Dunkirk escape, Dave is trapped on the beach at Dunkirk, all bombs explode all around him, can his son Tom get there in time to save him? The parent problem, because we all have embarrassing parents and one of the funniest Revenge of the number two, a gross funny story about poo! All the books are available to loan from the library until June.
The year 7 classes really enjoyed the talks, thanks to Alex for making them fun and engaging.
