Rugby Works Success

On Tuesday 5th November a group of CLCC students took part in a special Rugby Tournament organised by "Rugby Works" in which our students won!

The tournament featured many tough teams, including some from Lutterworth, Hinckley and Winstanley. Our students had to battle through 8 hard matches to be declared overall winners - amazing!

Additionally we are really proud of a special prize awarded to Emily in Year 10 - the only girl in the team, who won 'Player of the Tournament' for her attitude, enthusiasm, and all round sense of fair play.

Rugby Works coach Selsei Maafu (Ex-Australian International Rugby Union Player) was really pleased with the team's performance, "Well Done to all of you on collecting the big prize yesterday. A great effort by both teams, and especially Emily who is the newest member of our Rugby Works team. Emily has only been with us for 10 days,  shows some fantastic qualities; Leadership being the forefront of those and being recognised as the player of the tournament. Overall, very good for everyone involved. So a big thank you and congratulations from myself and the East Midlands Rugby Works team".

We're so proud of everyone involved, and a special thanks to Mrs Salmon and Mrs McDonald-Brown for helping to organise the team.
