Global Support for Countesthorpe Academy

OEM Automatic, a global company that specialises in parts for control systems, have kindly donated six laptops for our students working at home.

OEM Automatic have an office and warehouse in Whetstone, and after reading online about students working from home during lockdown, wanted to support a local school by donating some of their laptops.

Adam, IT Manager for OEM Automatic said, “We have equipment that, whilst not suitable for our latest software packages, are still great laptops and could be used by students to complete their online learning. OEM Automatic are proud to be able to support local young people continue their education whilst at home.”

Mrs McKenzie, Assistant Principal at Countesthorpe Academy was really happy to receive this donation. “Whilst we have been really fortunate to receive a number of government laptops, the demand for these during this lockdown has surged, so we are incredibly grateful to receive six more to add to our bank. These laptops will help students who don’t have access to suitable devices, to fully participate in their online learning.”

So from all the students and staff at Countesthorpe Academy, thank you OEM Automatic!
