October is Black History Month and Countesthorpe Academy Library has a fantastic display of non-fiction books focusing on issues such as slavery and civil rights. We also have a large selection of fiction books too.
There are plenty of new books to borrow from Ian Wright, Marcus Rashford, Michelle Obama, Benjamin Zephaniah, and last year’s Carnegie Medal winner, Jason Reynolds!
The library is open to all students, and we would encourage everyone to explore these amazing books and learn more about Black History Month.
