Congratulations to all our A Level Students who received their grades this morning!
Despite the huge uncertainty that has surrounded this years' exams, our students have achieved fantastic outcomes, with some exceptional individual results. For instance, our top three students between them achieved 7 A* grades and 5 A grades; amazing!
Students and staff celebrated today another amazing year of A Level Results at CLCC Sixth Form, with students celebrating each others' achievements, creating an amazingly positive atmosphere.
Our students this year have faced challenges that no other A Level students have had to encounter. The disruption to their studies has been unprecedented and our students have faced a situation that could not have been predicted. With this level of uncertainty, we are extremely pleased to see that the vast majority of students were successful in securing places at university.
However, the statistical formula applied by exams boards this year has unfairly disadvantaged some students and we will be fighting to ensure that any student who has been adversely affected is awarded the results they deserve.
Today, however we want to recognise and celebrate the successes of all our students whose work and commitment over the past eighteen months has been unquestionable, and thank staff who have worked hard with our students to ensure success during this unique time. We are incredibly proud of the resilience and determination our students have shown!
