Student Signed by LCFC for 2nd Year running

At Countesthorpe Leysland Community College we are extremely proud of the achievements of all our students; both inside and outside of school time.

One of our Year 9 students (Hope Perrett) has been signed by Leicester City Football Club's Women's Development team for a second year running!

Hope, a keen footballer, has always dreamed of playing for LCFC and thanks to her hard work and determination she has been successful in signing for the LCFC Women's development team for a second year running.

During her first year in the squad, Hope and her team mates ,who play in the Central Warwickshire Girls Football league, topped the table to be crowned league champions. This year they hope to defend their title and win the league again!

Hope trains 3 times a week, plays every Saturday and Sunday, and still finds time to keep up to date with her schoolwork, homework, and dare we say it, chores too!

We wish Hope and the LCFC Women's Development team good luck for this season - we can't wait to see how you do.

If you are involved in something outside of school time that you are proud of, let us know!
