We are delighted to inform you that our Year 8 student, Charlie, entered the Royal Mail Heroes Stamp Competition and his entry reached the Regional Finals!
The competition involved designing a stamp to honour the heroes of the coronavirus pandemic, with the 8 overall winning stamps being sent to Her Majesty The Queen before they can be printed and issued. An incredible 606,049 entries were received from children across the UK, with an amazing 7,479 schools taking part.
Congratulations Charlie, everyone at Countesthorpe Academy is very proud of you. Not only did you get this far but your design contributed towards a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ title too, for the largest postage stamp design competition.
