This week, Mrs Aitcheson was delighted to host Milkshake & Cookies with the Head to celebrate a truly outstanding student. 🥤🍪
Our winners were nominated for demonstrating our core values of Success and Resilience:
💪 One student found a particular topic challenging – and instead of giving up, she asked for extra work to complete in her own time so she could improve.
📚 Another student has consistently worked incredibly hard, showing exactly what it means to keep going, even when things are difficult.
Both students’ attitudes are a perfect example of what “working hard” really looks like at Countesthorpe Academy – pushing themselves, never settling, and showing real resilience in their learning.
We are so impressed – such superstars! 🌟
A huge well done from all of us at Countesthorpe Academy – keep up the amazing work! 👏

As part of Countesthorpe Academy’s ongoing Personal Development Programme, we were pleased to welcome the Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service into school this morning to deliver their road safety roadshow, The Fatal Four, to our Year 11 students.
The session provided an important and timely reminder of the key risks faced by young people as new drivers or passengers. Through an engaging presentation and discussion, the fire service team highlighted the four most common factors contributing to serious road traffic incidents, while offering clear and practical guidance on how students can stay safe when travelling in a vehicle.
Our Year 11 cohort engaged thoughtfully with the workshop and benefitted greatly from the expertise and real‑world experience shared by the visiting officers. Opportunities such as this are central to our commitment to equipping students with the knowledge and confidence they need to make responsible decisions both now and in the future.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service for delivering such an impactful and informative session.
