Here is the lunch menu for W/C 13th January 2025🍽🧃🥪🍉🍩😋

Please be reminded that we will close early on Thursday 16th January 2025 at 2pm.
Buses will depart at 2:10pm.
We will have six lessons as normal, with each lesson being slightly shorter than normal to allow for the early finish, meaning that your child will have the same timetabled lessons for that day.
More information about this early closure can be found on this letter – https://tinyurl.com/39ykr3du
Here is the lunch menu for W/C 7th January 2025🍽🧃🥪🍉🍩😋

WE ARE OPEN TUES 7th JAN 2025
Despite the recent inclement weather, enough roads into Countesthorpe and to our school are passable meaning that we will be open to all students on Tuesday 7th January 2025 as normal.
I understand that some public transport may have difficulty in reaching our school such as the 85 bus from South Wigston to Countesthorpe. We would ask that students travelling to school using public transport make every safe effort to do so, but if they are unable to reach school please report your child’s absence from school in the normal way.
Confidence bus – We have not received any communications to say the confidence bus services are not running so we presume that they are running as normal.
Extra Curricular Activities – all extra curricular activities have been cancelled for Tuesday 7th January 2025.
If for whatever reason your child is unable to attend school you must call and report your child’s absence in the usual way.
As you will no doubt be aware Countesthorpe and the surrounding villages have experienced some exceptional flooding resulting in restricted access to and from Countesthorpe.
While a number of roads appear to now be passable, many of the arterial routes to Countesthorpe are still flooded.
The situation does appear to be improving, however as this is still a fast moving situation, we will make an announcement on ***Tuesday 7th January 2025 at 7:00am*** via Email/SMS/Social Media as to whether the school is OPEN or CLOSED.
Finally, to all those people and families who have been deeply affected by the floods today, you are in our thoughts, and please contact us if there is anything we can do to help.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Aitcheson

Together as one, we stand proud and tall.

Embracing joy, under moon’s gentle light.
Seasons greetings to everyone, far and wide,
May peace and happiness forever abide!
We wish you a restful and peaceful Christmas break and a happy and prosperous New Year.
We look forward to welcoming back our students on Tuesday 7th January 2025
🎇Yesterday, our Countesthorpe Academy staff and students enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch!
It was fantastic to see everyone embracing the festive season, creating memories, and celebrating together as a school community.
A huge thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for preparing such a wonderful feast. 🎅🍰
Wishing everyone a joyful and restful Christmas break! 🎁✨

☕⭐The last Hot Choc Friday of the Autumn term on Friday 13th December featured our amazing Year 8 Basketball Team who deserve a huge congratulations! 🏀🎉
What an incredible season they’re having so far! The team has secured three straight wins, showcasing their hard work, determination, and team spirit. Here’s how they’ve dominated the court:
🔥 31-6 vs. Kibworth
🔥 31-7 vs. Robert Smyth
🔥 41-11 vs. Welland Park
With just one group stage game remaining after Christmas, they’ll take on Lutterworth High on Monday, 13th January.
We’re so proud of their fantastic achievements and can’t wait to see them in action again. Keep up the amazing work, team! 👏💪

This is a reminder that we are holding a drop-in collection session tomorrow from 3pm-5pm for GCSE and A-Level certificates.
If you are unable to collect your certificates and wish to nominate someone else, we will require a signed letter from you giving permission.

As we approach the final week of term at Countesthorpe Academy, I wanted to remind you of a few important details before the Christmas break.
School will conclude on Friday, 20th December at 3pm, with school buses departing at their usual times.
On Wednesday, 18th December, we have Christmas Jumper Day. Students are encouraged to wear a festive Christmas jumper in place of their school jumper, though all other uniform requirements remain unchanged. Donations for the Christmas Jumper day can be made via ParentPay.com
Additionally, Christmas dinner will be served on the same day for those students who have purchased a ticket. Please note that while break will be served as usual, no other lunch options will be available except for the ticketed Christmas dinner. Free School Meal Students should have booked their ticket already, and if they do not want the Christmas lunch, should collect an alternative at break time.
Please note that all tickets for Christmas lunch have now been sold.
We hope your child enjoys the festive activities planned for our last week of term, and we trust that you will enjoy a safe and relaxing Christmas and New Year break.
Best Regards,
Mrs C. Aitcheson
