Today we wrapped up the term with a special edition of Hot Choc Friday—on a Thursday! With the summer holidays just around the corner, we couldn’t miss the chance to celebrate our amazing students one last time.
Today’s winners took part in a special event where they met Liz Kendall, MP and government minister, to discuss and present issues that are important to them. From showing resilience and kindness to going above and beyond in their learning, these young people truly embody what it means to be part of CA. 🌟
This morning, our winners joined Mrs Aitcheson and Mr Williams for a well-deserved treat— milkshakes, cookies, and plenty of smiles all round! 🍫🥤
Well done to all our nominees—you continue to inspire us every day. 💙

The “Shaping SEND Futures Parent/Carer Connect” initiative, part of the NHS, provides drop-in support sessions for parents and carers of children with learning disabilities and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the Hinckley and Bosworth area, Leicestershire.
The project aims to connect with children, young people, and their families to understand their unique needs, challenges, and goals. It promotes links to community-based services like support groups, educational support, youth activities, mental health services, and advocacy.
Families will be able to better understand and access statutory services within education, healthcare, and social care.
The sessions are held the last Thursday of every month from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Broughton Astley Family Hub on Station Road.

Each year, over 700,000 young people take part in UKMT Challenges, Kangaroos and Olympiads.
The Challenges are aimed at students year 8 and below. Starting with the Junior Maths Challenge which consists of a 60 minute, 25 multiple choice Challenge. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency to make students think.
We are super proud of this year’s winners who have represented Countesthorpe Academy in the UK Maths Trust Mathematical Challenge by achieving Bronze, Silver or Gold certification, or just by participating!🤩
