This week, Mr Williams was feeling the champion spirit as he hosted a special Milkshake with the Head for the incredible students who are shining in our school musical, We Will Rock You!

Their hard work, talent and commitment absolutely rocked the school, and today was our chance to celebrate them properly. From powerful performances to behind‑the‑scenes brilliance, these students proved that the show really does go on — and they certainly make it unforgettable.

👏 A huge well done to everyone involved. You haven’t just hit the stage… you stole it.

We’re thrilled to announce that VMA has been crowned the latest winners of the HIVE Sixth Form Award! 🏆
This amazing group earned the top spot by excelling in four competitions:
✅ Food Bank Appeal – showing generosity and community spirit
✅ Classroom Christmas Tree Decorating – spreading festive cheer
✅ Quizzes – proving their knowledge and teamwork
✅ Word Competition – showcasing creativity and skill

Today was extra special as both Mrs Aitcheson, our Headteacher, and Mr Williams, our Executive Headteacher, joined us to celebrate some incredible achievements!
 
This week, children were nominated for:

Yesterday, our HIVE Sixth Form were honoured to receive an award from Register & Be a Lifesaver in recognition of our long-term commitment to educating young people about the importance of blood, stem cell, and organ donation. 💙

During the presentation, we were delighted to welcome back two former Countesthorpe Academy teachers, Nisha Ravatt and Nick Van-Geffen, who spoke passionately about this life-saving topic. Both highlighted the importance of having open conversations about organ donation—making your choices clear to your loved ones, and understanding theirs too.

Nick also shared his deeply personal story about his daughter’s double lung transplant almost 11 years ago—a powerful reminder of how organ donation truly changes lives.

We are proud to continue raising awareness and inspiring the next generation to make a difference. 🌟
