Transport for students with special educational needs or a disability

Please follow this link to download the information leaflet for the Personal Transport Budget(PTB) scheme that Leicestershire County Council is introducing to the families of children with SEN that are eligible to transport assistance through the council, for the for the start of the new academic year in September 2017.

This follows a successful PTB pilot that started at Melton Birch Wood School in September 2016, that has received positive feedback from the participating families.

A PTB is a regular cash payment designed to help families get their SEN children to school, it is an alternative to transport being provided by the Council, and would allow families to make arrangements to better suit their own personal circumstances.

The attached leaflet has been sent out to eligible families across the Leicestershire county area (excluding Leicester City).
