Celebrating Superb GCSE Results

Countesthorpe Academy is celebrating the success of its students today as they receive an excellent set of GCSE results.

Students across the Academy are celebrating a fantastic range of achievements, with many surpassing their personal targets and excelling across a wide range of subjects.

This year’s results are a testament to the determination, resilience and hard work of our students, alongside the unwavering support of families and the commitment of staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

From outstanding grades to incredible personal achievements, students across the Academy have demonstrated that hard work, resilience and ambition really do pay off.

There are many individual successes to celebrate, with a significant number of students achieving multiple Grade 7–9 results and strong performances across core subjects. Students have also achieved particular success in creative and vocational subjects, highlighting the breadth of talent, interests and strengths across the Academy.

Headteacher Catherine Aitcheson said:

“We are incredibly proud of all our students and their achievements this year. Their results are a reflection of their perseverance, ambition and ability to overcome challenges. Every student has their own story and their own journey, and today is about celebrating the progress and success of every young person.

“We are delighted to see so many of our students progressing confidently onto the next stage of their education and training. These successes are a testament not only to the hard work of our students, but also to the dedication of our teachers and support staff and the encouragement and support of families.

“Our students should feel incredibly proud of themselves today. They have worked hard, shown resilience and demonstrated what they are capable of. We cannot wait to see what they go on to achieve.”

The Academy is also delighted that so many Year 11 students have chosen to continue their education at Countesthorpe Sixth Form, with applications still being accepted.

Students interested in joining the Sixth Form should contact Mrs Challinor at kchallinor@clcc.college to find out more about the courses and opportunities available.

Executive Headteacher Gareth Williams added:

“Our whole community should feel very proud of our students today. These results show the talent, determination and potential of young people at Countesthorpe Academy and demonstrate that this is a place where students can thrive and achieve.

“We are particularly pleased to see so many of our students choosing to continue their learning at Countesthorpe, alongside students joining us from other schools across the county. Our Sixth Form provides an exciting opportunity for young people to build on their success, develop their aspirations and prepare for their future.

“We look forward to welcoming them all and supporting them as they take their next steps.”

Today’s results mark an important milestone for Countesthorpe Academy’s Year 11 students, but they are also the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Countesthorpe Academy would like to congratulate every student on their achievements and wish them every success for the future.
