Countesthorpe Academy is celebrating another highly successful A Level results day, with students achieving excellent results across a broad range of academic and vocational subjects.
The results reflect the hard work, determination and resilience of students, alongside the commitment of staff who have supported them throughout their studies. Students have achieved outstanding individual results, with a significant number achieving top grades and securing their first-choice university places, apprenticeships, or employment opportunities.
Our top achieving students have secured places on a range of courses including Psychology at the University of Cambridge, Veterinary Science and Medicine and the University of Surrey and Maths at the University of Leicester to name a few. Students have also secured apprenticeships across a range of disciplines and are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to degree courses.
Vocational subjects have been a particular success, with students achieving strong results across a range of courses. These achievements highlight the value of providing a broad and ambitious post-16 curriculum that enables students to develop both academic knowledge and practical, industry-relevant skills.
Catherine Aitcheson Headteacher said
“We are incredibly proud of our students and the results they have achieved today. Their success is a testament to their hard work, perseverance and commitment, as well as the dedication of our staff and the support of families and carers.”
“It is particularly pleasing to see such strong outcomes in our vocational subjects. These courses provide students with valuable knowledge, practical skills and experiences that prepare them exceptionally well for their next steps. Today’s results demonstrate that there are many different routes to success, and we are delighted to see our students progressing towards their individual goals. We wish every student a huge congratulations and every success as they take their next steps.”
Kerry Challinor, Head of Sixth Form added, “Our Year 13s have been a joy to work with. They’ve supported each other and embraced challenges. Today students see the rewards for all their hard work and we are excited to see what the future holds for each and every one of them.”
Gareth Williams, the school’s Executive Headteacher said, “Today is a day to celebrate! We’re extremely proud of the excellent results achieved showing that Countesthorpe Academy is a vibrant destination for post 16 learners.”
The diverse range of courses and apprenticeships our students at Countesthorpe can access with their superb results is testament to their resilience, determination and hard work. All our students have lived out our Countesthorpe values of ‘being the very best they can be’ and can be very proud of their achievements.
