As you may have seen in the media, there is proposed strike action by the Unite union, which may affect Arriva bus services on the following dates:
11th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 20th and 21st December 2025- 5th and 6th January 2026
This action could impact the 85 bus service, which some students use to travel to and from Countesthorpe Academy.
If your child relies on the 85 bus service, please check in advance whether the service will be running on these dates. If the bus is not operating, you will need to make alternative arrangements to ensure your child attends school.

We appreciate that this will be a major inconvenience to the many young people who rely on this bus service to attend our school, and we really do value the efforts you will make to ensure your child arrives on time.
