The "Shaping SEND Futures Parent/Carer Connect" initiative, part of the NHS, provides drop-in support sessions for parents and carers of children with learning disabilities and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the Hinckley and Bosworth area, Leicestershire.
The project aims to connect with children, young people, and their families to understand their unique needs, challenges, and goals. It promotes links to community-based services like support groups, educational support, youth activities, mental health services, and advocacy.
Families will be able to better understand and access statutory services within education, healthcare, and social care.
The sessions are held the last Thursday of every month from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Broughton Astley Family Hub on Station Road.
