Yesterday, our HIVE Sixth Form were honoured to receive an award from Register & Be a Lifesaver in recognition of our long-term commitment to educating young people about the importance of blood, stem cell, and organ donation. 💙
During the presentation, we were delighted to welcome back two former Countesthorpe Academy teachers, Nisha Ravatt and Nick Van-Geffen, who spoke passionately about this life-saving topic. Both highlighted the importance of having open conversations about organ donation—making your choices clear to your loved ones, and understanding theirs too.
Nick also shared his deeply personal story about his daughter’s double lung transplant almost 11 years ago—a powerful reminder of how organ donation truly changes lives.
