The Legal Apprentice

Year 12 Students Zoe and Jit are embarking on a Legal Apprentice Challenge run by Kingsley Napley (a legal firm in London) and The Times newspaper.

The task was to review a problem and find a legal solution.  The Legal Apprentice gives students a unique opportunity to find out through personal experience exactly what it is like to be a solicitor. It also offers the chance to understand the nuances between legal practices such as Criminal, Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Employment law for example.

Why are you taking part in this challenge?

Jit says:

"I would possibly like to go into either law or biology at university, so this provides me with a taste of law, also I find law very interesting. It will also be beneficial if I do decide to go to university and do law as it gives me something to show my interest and passion of the subject. "

And Zoe comments:

"I am completing the legal apprentice competition because I would like to have a taste of what a profession in the law would be like and to help me decide which part of law I would possibly like to go into."
