I do hope that you have had an enjoyable Summer Break. As the Principal of Countesthorpe Leysland Community College, I am looking forward to welcoming our students back after the summer break to our new College:
Our standards are high and so are our expectations. I look forward to working with you and your children to lay the foundations for their successful future.
Some key information below that will aid a smooth return.
Return to College Dates
Countesthorpe Leysland Community College will open on:-
Thursday 1st September 2016 at 8.25am.
Students in Years 7, 9 and 11 are to go to the Countesthorpe Site.
Students in Years 8 and 10 are to go to the Leysland Site.
First period will be with tutors where timetables will be distributed
College Transport
Please see website for information on College provided transport, together with routes and timetables.

End of Day Arrangements and After School Activities
Lessons will end at 3.00pm and the buses will leave the college site at 3:10pm promptly.
Throughout the week we have a number of after-school activities taking place and a programme will be published at the start of the new school year. We have a late bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays (autumn term). Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (spring term) for students who are participating in extra-curricular activities etc. the bus arrives at 4.00pm and departs at 4.15pm
Site Security
Site security has been improved over the holidays to safeguard all students as they move between the two sites. Please can you ensure all students have suitable clothing for inclement weather.
At the college we are all committed to ensuring all students get the individual support, guidance and encouragement that they require to be the best they can be. I would like to thank you in anticipation of your co-operation in these matters and look forward to a successful year.
