Dear Parent/Carer,
Some of you may be aware of a post on twitter showing a CLCC Show My Homework Quiz with inappropriate answer options. This was reported to us by the parent who posted it on twitter and by the same parent via email. We thank them for their vigilance and taking the time to alert us to this.
We are shocked and angered as to how this could have happened and contacted Show My Homework on the evening of Wednesday 17th June, requesting that the homework be removed, so that a full and rapid investigation could take place. The homework was removed on Thursday 18th June.
I would like to assure you that all items of work relating to this have also now been removed, whilst we establish why and how this happened.
Here at Countesthorpe Leysland Community College, we have worked tirelessly to provide relevant and well-planned learning resources throughout this current period of lockdown. Teachers have put endless hours into creating online learning content for our students to engage with during the lockdown and College closure. It is therefore especially upsetting that this has happened.
Sadly, we cannot rule out that this was a malicious act, and as such, we will be contacting the relevant authorities to help with our investigation so we can take appropriate action. We are also carrying out our own internal investigation.
