Leicester Lockdown Update – 30th June 2020

Dear Parents/Carers

You will by now have seen the news reports regarding the lockdown situation in Leicester.

Countesthorpe Leysland Community College remains unaffected by the local lockdown. We are continuing with our planned provision for Year 10 and 12 students as well as that for key worker and vulnerable children.

We can also confirm that vulnerable children / children of critical workers are permitted to travel into / out of Leicester to attend school. This includes parents taking children to school.

However, no other children should travel in and out of the restricted area to attend school. This means if you live in Leicester but your child attends our school, they must stay home.

I thank you once again for your continued support in these ever changing times and I fully understand how challenging this is. We are guided by government directives during this time.

Once I have more information I will write to you with an update.

Best wishes

Mrs C. Aitcheson

Principal
