Latest Year 11 Progress Review, My Ed App for Parents and Important Year 11 News

The latest information on how your child is progressing is now available via the MyEd app. This includes an indication on their currently working at grade against their target and an effort grade for each subject.

Year 11 is the most important year to date in your child’s school career and it is vital that we work together to ensure the most positive and successful experience. The app also shows you information about attendance, achievements and behaviour alongside the most recent reports on progress and effort. We hope you find the app useful and that it sparks conversation at home and productive discussion around next steps. Information on how to download the app can be found here https://www.clcc.college/my-ed-app/

Autumn Term Events:

Over the coming weeks we will be working with Year 11 students on how to apply to our Sixth Form or other providers as appropriate, working on revision skills and conducting Sixth Form tasters. We are also planning Walking Talking Mocks – an additional support strategy in advance of the November mocks.

Some key dates for your diary:

24th October 2019: CLCC Sixth Form Open Evening

11th November 2019: Year 11 Mock Examinations (and Walking Talking Mocks) for two weeks. A mock examination timetable is attached to this letter. A personalised timetable will follow after half term.

12th December 2019: Year 11 Mock Results Day and Y11 Parents’ Evening. Results are made available to parents attending on the evening. (Grades made available to parents the next day via the app).

The autumn term is set to be a very busy one for our Year 11 students. With your support and encouragement at home we look forward to seeing some very positive results from this year group. With that in mind, please take the time to discuss the latest interim report on progress this week with your child.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. C. Aitcheson

Principal
