Best A-Level Results Ever!

Congratulations to our Year 13 Class of 2019 who have achieved our best A-Level results ever.

Our A-Level Chemistry and PE students achieved results that put them in the top 10% nationally whilst our Physics students achieved in the top 25%.

Our BTEC Level 3 Dance students all achieved the highest possible grades – Distinction*. Maths, English Literature, Geography, History and Psychology A-Level results put them in the top 30% nationally.

The percentage of students achieving the highest grades (A*, A and B) increased again on 2018’s magnificent results too. We’re delighted with the results the students have achieved through their hard work over these past few years.

The atmosphere in our school was buzzing this morning, with students coming in from 7:30am to find out their results (and enjoy the odd pastry or two!). It was really lovely to see students taking the time to thank their teachers for the support they had given them over the last two years.

Student feedback fromthis morning included:

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at College and I’ll miss it a lot. I’ve been here since Year 7 and the school has been supportive the whole time”.

“Thank-you very much to the maths, physics and chemistry departments – they were all very helpful throughout the full two years of Sixth Form”

To the Head of Music: “I just wanted to say thank-you. The last two years in music have been incredible and you’ve been an inspiration to us all. You have truly made this subject for me and I can not wait to pursue it further. I’m over the moon with my grade and I couldn’t have done it without you!”

“Thank-you so much for everything the past 2 years! It’s been a whirlwind experience but amazing to be a part of! Special thanks to all my teachers for all their support and for teaching me and allowing me to be the best I can be! Thanks for being part of my journey CLCC!”

“Big thank-you to the Health and Psychology department, none of this would have been possible without you, your support has been amazing.”

This morning we’ve seen confirmed some fantastic individual performances and students with a clutch of the highest grades off to top universities.

We are extremely proud of the achievements of all our students today and would like to wish them well in their future careers, University courses and Apprenticeships.
