For the third year running 9SBU have shown their support for the staff and patients on Ward 27 at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
9SBU spent two weeks during registration periods designing and creating their own Christmas cards for the staff and patients on Ward 27.
The students also raised almost £40 which was spent on chocolates, biscuits, a game and a ornament for all of the staff, patients and parents on Ward 27 to enjoy over the Christmas break.
Some of the cards were displayed in the day room of Ward 27, and the others were donated to a terminally ill patient, who was trying to collect as many Christmas cards as he could.
9SBU received a thank you card and note from Ward 27, which was very much appreciated (and brought tears to a certain tutor’s eyes!).
