Year 13 World Beliefs Presentations

Every year, our Year 13 students research, design and present a Citizenship Project in front of a panel of senior staff, as part of the Personal Development Programme.

The panel members judge their presentations in terms of research, design, creativity and presentation skills. This year we had an RE focus, with Word Beliefs as the topic area. Each of the four Year 13 tutor groups took a different world religion and presented their findings to the rest of the year group and the panel. This involved looking at the origins of the religions, religious practices over time, and the way the religion fits into the modern world and wider society.

As always, it was fantastic to see so many students collaborating and beating their nerves in order to work as a team with their tutor group.

Mrs Howe, Head of Culture Faculty, and judge on the day, stated: ‘It was a delight to see the students present their findings and hear such a wide range of information shared in some really creative ways.’

‘Really informative and well researched presentations covering some topical issues. It was great to see tutor groups working together as a team to produce these great pieces of work,’ Mrs Aitcheson commented.

A special congratulations to tutor group MPA, whose presentation was well-structured and delivered with confidence. They were the recipients of chocolates and invaluable House Points!
