Friday 11th April 2025 – NON-UNIFORM DAY

On Friday 11th of April, we will be holding a non-uniform day to raise money for various school projects including celebration events, lunchtime equipment, outdoor gym equipment, developing social areas etc

To join in, students are invited to wear their own clothes in return for a £1 donation.

Non-uniform day is something that students have requested we reintroduce, however in order to make the day a success we need your support in ensuring the following.

  • Students wearing their own clothes must still wear appropriate clothing for school.
  • Any students dressed inappropriately will be asked to change or we may call you to bring in appropriate clothing.
  • Inappropriate dress includes cropped or strappy tops, very short skirts or shorts, items with offensive words or slogans etc.
  • Students must still wear their lanyards as these are an essential part of their equipment for school and part of our safeguarding protocol.
  • Students must ensure they are still equipped for school, including a school bag, pencil case, any books or homework required for the day. Students should have their PE kit if they have PE on that day.

If your child would like to take part, please send them in with £1 in cash, this will be collected at the school gate.

Students who do not wish to take part should come to school in their usual Countesthorpe Academy school uniform.

We have listened to student voice and we want to make this day a success and part of our academy calendar. However, we must guarantee students wear appropriate clothing, and meet our high expectations of behaviour and conduct throughout the day to ensure we can plan for further non-uniform days in the future.
