Students across our school celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee with a special afternoon picnic today.
Organised by our house leaders, students were invited to buy a ticket to attend a celebratory jubilee picnic, with funds raised going towards the Countesthorpe Parish Council Jubilee Planter.
With the sun out, students had a fantastic afternoon and a brilliant picnic lunch. Served by the house leaders, students were treated to a range of sandwiches, sausages rolls, crisps, cakes and fruit – a proper British picnic party!
We even had a special guest visit by non-other than her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II!! Well, not quite, but students really entered into the spirit of the event with union jack hats, masks and other props they had made or brought with them.
What a brilliant end to the half term – enjoy the half term break and extended bank holiday everyone!
