House and Vice House Captains

Key Stage 3 & 4 Students - do you have what it takes to be Captain of your house? Could you help your house by being a Vice-Captain? If so then read on!

We are looking for a Captain and Vice-Captain for each house. Captains and Vice-Captains are students who do some or all of the following roles

  • Be a role model to others
  • Lead on collecting House Points
  • Show the House ethos and values in their actions
  • Take a lead in organising other student roles e.g. Co-ordinate ASK reps
  • Lead on lunchtime clubs and activities e.g. Blogs etc
  • Take roles with responsibility in the College e.g. door monitors, leading on assemblies, representing the College in the Community.
  • Charity activities e.g. lead in charity week
  • Take a lead in sporting competitions
  • Offer advice to others
  • Plus other roles Captain and Vice-Captains can help. with

Being a Captain or Vice-Captain is a great way of developing leadership skills whilst also helping your house "to be the best it can be".

How to apply to be a Captain or Vice Captain

You need to email Mrs A. Howe (ahowe@clcc.college) by Thursday 28th September 2017 with the following:

  • Why you want to do it
  • What qualities you have to help you be a Captain or Vice-Captain
  • What you would like to achieve/change/create

Please put this all on a one A4 page (Word Document would be great). This will be shortlisted and shared with tutor groups.

What happens next?

Our Senior Staff will share the short listed A4 sheets with tutor groups week commencing 2nd October.

Each house will vote for their choice of Captain and Vice-Captain, with each tutor group getting one vote.

Captains and Vice-Captains will be announced shortly after this.
