A big thank you to everybody who came along and supported us at our Charity Fashion Show and Shopping event that took place on Wednesday11th April 2018.
We raised over £630; an absolutely fantastic amount! The funds will be going towards replacing some worn out furniture in the College Library with some new seating which will be used by over 100 students daily at break-time, lunch and after school and Lutterworth & Villages Foodbank running costs.
Our thanks go to all of the businesses that supported us including Next, Boden, Tesco Express Countesthorpe, David Lloyd Clubs, Central England Co-op, Attfield’s Farm Shop, Snowdome Tamworth, Fox’s Glaciers, Britvic, Walkers Crisps, LCFC and Twinlakes.
An especially big thank you to all our volunteers who helped us to put on the event, including students and staff at the College, Foodbank volunteers and of course our models who were definitely the stars of the show!
Lutterworth and Villages Foodbank supports many local families in crisis through their Countesthorpe & Lutterworth Distribution Centres by providing 3 day's worth of emergency food. In 2017, they donated over 12,000 meals to families in need.
They rely on the generosity of local people and businesses who support them with donations of both food and much-needed funds to cover costs including transportation and warehousing. They are extremely grateful to everyone at Countesthorpe Leysland Community College for their generous and continuing support.
